The Red Kettle Campaign is an annual fundraising initiative conducted by The Salvation Army each year during the holiday season. 2020 is the 129 th year of the campaign. Funds raised through the campaign assist needy families with Christmas assistance (gifts) food, shelter, transportation, housing and respite during the holidays and throughout the year. Every penny dropped into a Red Kettle remains here in Lubbock to assist those in need.
The most significant campaign need is for people willing to volunteer to ring a bell at one of the many local Red Kettle locations (Walmart/Sam’s, United/Market Street, South Plains Mall, Hobby Lobby, Cabela’s). Finding and confirming a location/date/time to volunteer is easy - simply go to www.registertoring.com and type "Lubbock, Texas" into the search bar. From there, a list of locations/dates/times will appear from which to choose. Once a shift is selected, you will receive an automated email confirmation immediately and a reminder text one day prior to their shift. Volunteering can be done alone, with family members or as a group - whatever works best!
