HavServe Volunteer Service Network was founded in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that hit Haiti on January 12, 2010. HavServe is a registered US 501(c)3 organization that promotes community-led development through volunteerism in rural Haiti. HavServe contributes to empowering community members through education, training and the development of the necessary infrastructure to provide basic services in rural communities where access to social services is limited or non-existent. This Giving Tuesday, HavServe will be focusing its campaign in finding new sponsors for the 120 children attending the HavServe International Academy in Lebrun who are still in need of support to continue with their education.
We are seeking creative individuals to develop a short profile (approximately 500 words) of at least 3 children (exact amount of profiles to be determined based on volunteers’ availability) from our Academy to share with potential sponsors and contributors as part of our Giving Tuesday campaign.
Skills
Experience with creative writing, storytelling and/or communication
Understanding of social media campaigns preferred but not required
Excellent written communication (English)
Ability to summarize information in a creative way
Deadline to apply: Ongoing Basis
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Until finalizing profiles (max. 3 weeks from start date)
