Northrop Grumman Science on a Sphere
Science On a Sphere® (SOS), the centerpiece of the Northrop Grumman Science Center, was developed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The world's first dynamic spherical projection system, SOS uses special software, satellite imagery and four projectors to render images onto the global surface that provide dramatic, full-motion views of the Earth, Sun, moons and planets in space

We are a nonprofit organization that focuses on the business and educational aspects of the space and STEM industry. We have around 85 team members in our headquarters and a lot of various IT (information technology) projects that need support. We do have 4 team members that make up our IT department at the moment, but we are looking for someone who enjoys various IT projects from helping directly with a team member or behind the scenes of IT projects. You can talk more with our Director of IT about the various IT projects if interested and before starting.

Description

The United States Space Foundation (Foundation), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1983, has re-focused and energized its mission and goals under new leadership since 1997. While other organizations focus on classroom activities for children or curriculum development, the Foundation Education Team‚s core competency is professional development for kindergarten through twelfth grade (K-12) teachers. The Foundation formed strategic partnerships and alliances with these organizations and with others in the pre-college and higher educational community, government and industry in order to help achieve the education mission.
