The Senior Companion Program places volunteers with various community-based agencies that provide assistance to frail, older persons and adults with disabilities. Through these agencies, volunteers are matched one-on-one with those who need a little help and companionship to continue living independently in their own homes. Please, consider becoming a Senior Companion volunteer. Eligible participants receive a non-taxable stipend, mileage reimbursement, meal assistance, and much more. The program is available to:
- Oakland and Macomb county residents age 55 or better
- Must meet limited income requirements
