  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Swerve Robotics is looking for someone with a passion for and experience with fundraising, grant writing, and the follow-up that is required for the grants. Our vision is to expand our offerings to our community, but without some income to support the work of our amazing team, it will be very difficult to do.

About Swerve Robotics

Location:

Mission Statement

Swerve Robotics promotes lifelong intellectual, creative and personal growth opportunities to young people by offering fun and exciting team-based programs that empower students to tackle and solve real-world problems. The programs assist youth and volunteer staff, through informal education, to acquire knowledge and develop life skills and values that enable them to become increasingly self-directing, productive, contributing citizens. Our youths participate in robotics competitions such as FIRST LEGO League Explore, FIRST LEGO League Challenge, and FIRST Tech Challenge, where they have opportunities to have fun while developing 21st century skills that employers are looking for such as problem solving, conflict resolution, persistence, time management and communication.

Description

Swerve Robotics is a 501c3 nonprofit that serves students within the Northshore School District boundaries as well as homeschooled students. We provide opportunities for students to participate in the FIRST family of robotics programs in team based events.
Although we are a relatively young nonprofit, we have been doing the same work since 2006 and have been mostly self-funded until we received our nonprofit and were able to receive grant money and more donations. In addition, until October 2021, we have been 100% volunteer run.
