Building stronger communities, by providing direct assistance to individuals and families who may encounter a temporary financial need in the areas of housing, utilities, food, clothing and transportation.

Description

The need to help others in our communities and other surrounding areas is beneficial right now. Especially in the areas of housing, employment, food and transportation resources. We have so many individuals who still never received tax refunds or stimulus payments that were issued to provide additional economic aid. Our goal is to continue to help individuals and families with programs that connect them to financial opportunities that make a long-lasting difference. In addition, we provide financial literacy classes quarterly via our online classroom platform. GCI members and volunteers provide that momentum that helps us affect change.

We have been in communities fundraising, by selling sno-cones, fresh popcorn and other items to raise money for back to school backpacks and supplies. We donated over 78 backpacks with supplies to those who requested the need.
