Destination Imagination (DI) is the leader in providing experiential programs that unleash the creative mind in today's youth. DI is a global educational nonprofit dedicated to inspiring the next generation of innovators, leaders, and creative problem solvers. North Dakota Destination Imagination is a small affiliate within this international organization. We are looking to grow across the state to expand opportunities for North Dakota learners. We are building a team to help make this happen.

North Dakota Destination Imagination wants to enable every interested student in North Dakota to participate on a Destination Imagination team. Do you support that vision? Do you want to help make it happen? Are you ready to step up and see how you can impact North Dakota’s youth? If so, nominate yourself for a position on the NDDI Board!

The Board is responsible for defining goals, establishing creative opportunities, and addressing challenges that exist for NDDI.

Each board member makes a commitment to:

  • Be informed about, and actively support the mission, vision, and strategic goals of NDDI.
  • Prepare for and attend board meetings at least nine times per year. Board meetings are held once a month; days determined by availability of members. We are currently meeting virtually.
  • Attend an annual strategic planning retreat, likely scheduled for June or July.
  • Act with integrity in the best interests of NDDI.
  • Make a personal, tax-deductible contribution at least once a year at a level reasonable for your budget.
  • Participate in fundraising and special events for the organization.

We are building a new executive board and have two four-year term seats, two three-year term seats, and two two-year term seats beginning immediately. We are looking for volunteers who have skills or connections in Strategic Planning, Diversity and Inclusivity, Education, Communications, Grant Writing and/or Corporate Sponsorship. We are seeking members from a broad range of backgrounds. Previous Destination Imagination experience or knowledge is not required. To be considered for this opportunity: email director@creatend.org with your vision for our organization, or what talents or skills you could bring to our board. Reach out to us! Opportunities are always developing.
