Good news: the Rotary Club of Woodside / Portola Valley is meeting in person again! Would you like to join us?

We meet weekly at the Woodside Town Hall every Wednesday, 7:15-8:30am. Please reply to this email to let us know when you're coming.

Our Rotary Club is welcoming club members and guests back to in-person meetings (in hybrid style) and doing so in a way that’s safe in accordance with guidelines provided by the public health department of San Mateo county.

This is an opportunity to network with people of goodwill in our town. Each week, a guest speaker describes their work, art, or ideas. At the meeting, you'll hear about the service projects that our club is doing and learn what Rotary is all about. Most importantly, we hope you'll enjoy our fellowship.

So if you're looking for a fun, social way to give back to our community, or if you wanted to help in another country and wondered how to move forward, our Rotary Club may be the place for you. Our club is really great at making good things happen - come join us!

Please reply to this email to introduce yourself, and address your message to Barbara. Feel free to send us any questions you might have. We look forward to welcoming you.

Mission Statement

The Rotary Club of Woodside/Portola Valley was chartered in March 1996 and is comprised of men and women committed to the objectives of Rotary, embodied in the motto, "Service Above Self".

Description

Our members come from many segments of the business community and work through Rotary to establish the principle of SERVICE ABOVE SELF. Some of our service projects have been: creating classroom libraries, providing funding for class materials for ESL students, adopting a one-parent/3 children family in East Palo Alto, refurbishing a Guest Home for the Aged in South Africa, Katrina and Guatemala disaster relief, arsenic removal from water in Baja, California, and wheelchairs for handicapped children in Jordan. This fall we have distributed hard back dictionaries to the third graders in many local schools.
