Hospice Care Phone Call Check-In program provide soul support directly to our patients and their families by providing phone calls weekly to assess needs and provide emotional support to patient/family. The volunteer will also report any need or concern to the hospice office. This position requires sensitive, emotionally mature volunteers, who are comfortable talking to people over the phone and have demonstrated good listening skills and willingness to participate in on-going programs and monthly supervision. Al calls must be made from our Reseda office. Volunteers are asked to make a commitment of service with a minimum of 8 -15 hours a month as needed.
