Responsibilities:

• Greeting visitors, employees and patients.
• Asking screening health-related questions of all those entering.
• Taking temperatures.
• Requesting visitor compliance with hand sanitizing, use of face mask, and any other current CDC/CA DOH/governor requirements.
• Giving directions as necessary, to include asking purpose of visit, verifying appointments.
• Customer service including basic de-escalation of tense situations pending manager arrival
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Interest in volunteering
• Licensure may be required for specific volunteer assignments
• Ability to work effectively with patients from diverse social, cultural and economic groups.
• Ability to work well in both a team-based environment and independently.
• Demonstrated ability to be culturally sensitive and respect diversity.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain good working relationships with employees, coworkers, and departments.
• Intermediate interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Bilingual
