Christmas Volunteers 2021 - The Salvation Army

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: The Salvation Army of Summit County

It's not too early to start thinking about how we can help give back to others this Christmas season. The Salvation Army helps hundreds of families have a blessed Christmas thanks to the "generosity of time" from our seasonal VOLUNTEERS.

We have opportunities for individuals, families and groups to help. Your time may be used to feel good this season or to fulfill some work or school service obligations or just to get out and have fun!

Please note - all events below are held at 2207 Romig Road in Akron.

Here's some of our VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES we have this 2021 season:

Angel Tree TOY PACKING - December 9th - December 17th (maybe the 18th) from 9AM-4PM. Volunteers can help pack toys for as many or as few days as they have available. You can be flexible on your hours too.

Angel Tree DISTRIBUTION DAY is December 20th - This is when families come to pick up their Angel Tree gifts for Christmas. We need volunteers to help get the gifts out to the cars. This is an all day event with 3 shifts to choose from.

8:30AM - 1PM (shift #1)
12:45PM - 4:30 PM (shift #2)
4:15PM- 7:15PM (shift #3)

CREATE-A-CHRISTMAS is a program with families or corporations sponsor an entire family.

CREATE-A-CHRISTMAS has a few steps to complete:

C-A-C SET-UP is 11AM - 1PM on December 21st.
C-A-C DROP-OFF is 1PM - 6PM on December 21st.
C-A-C PICK-UP is 1PM - 6PM on December 22nd.
