Are you enthusiastic about marketing and the environment? Do you have great organization skills and attention to detail? The Planet Bee Foundation is looking for someone to assist our team’s foster environmental literacy, stewardship, and a pathway to STEM, empowering individuals to take action on our digital platforms.
ABOUT US:
We are dedicated to creating a green-minded generation by spotlighting the struggling bee to foster environmental literacy, stewardship, and a pathway to STEM, empowering individuals to take action.
We present workshops and educational programs virtually and in person to schools, nonprofits, summer camps, environmental centers, community gardens, and businesses.
ABOUT THE WORK:
- Define marketing goals and strategies with the executive director
- Develop a marketing plan
- Create a branding campaign.
- Conduct an informal focus group and gather feedback for market research.
- Pitch story ideas to print, broadcast, and digital media.
- Create and implement a fundraising strategy.
- Plan, market, and present at an informational meeting.
- Utilize social media and develop strategies for web-based messaging.
ABOUT YOU:
- You love working collaboratively on small (but mighty!) teams
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills and great attention to detail
- You have strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- You have experience in marketing, writing, social media, or another relevant field
- You have some experience in environmental literacy OR an excitement to learn more
Proficiency in web, social media, and some subset of the following programs would be desirable: Word, Excel, WordPress, Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, and AgileCRM.

Description
Planet Bee is working towards a future in which children and adults are exposed to global environmental issues, and given the tools to combat them. Today the American child spends an average of 7 hours a day in front of a screen inside, away from nature. Planet Bee's educational programs take students outside, playing a crucial role in connecting children with the earth at the time when they are developing the values which will steer the course of their lives. Outdoor education not only brightens our planet's future, but also improves students' performance in school.
We envision a world in which all students feel empowered to take action for their planet, regardless of race, gender, class or location. Through our work, students will learn to love our planet and the importance of individual action in global movements, and will become more equipped to tackle environmental problems in the future.
