My husband Luis and I created SoulPhamm, a sports and arts program for kids in New York and New Jersey. The goal of SoulPhamm is to create engaging and unique competitive and performing experiences for young people. In January, 2021 Luis, my partner and very best friend, died suddenly and although the loss hurts, I am compelled to open SoulPhamm and now dedicate it to his memory. But I need help!
I am looking for individuals to join our administrative team as Athletic Trainers for boys.
We need Athletic Trainers to help us add to the menu of services we offer our young men. Our boys range in age from 10 to 17. The majority are on our basketball team, but we have a handful who are in artistic programs like drumline, which still requires a certain amount of stamina in their showmanship. We only have the chance to see them two hours a week right now and on their off days, we are convinced that they have little to no physical activity and it shows from week to week. The goal is to help them develop and embrace a lifestyle of physical fitness and wellness.
The trainers would select a night or two nights in the week (6:30pm or 7pm start) and develop a fitness program that the boys can do virtually (Zoom).
We would be looking for a December start. The season ends in June.

Friends of MJHS ("Friends") is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation organized for the purpose of generating contributions, pledges and funds for the development and ongoing support of Citadel Academy Prep School (CAPS), a school that will provide students in grades 6-8 with a high quality Christian education through a well balanced, yet challenging curriculum that ministers to the spirit, soul and body.
Friends will also provide funds, management and ongoing support of The SoulDeevas Performing Arts Company, a character building sports and arts program that will serve all youth regardless of their religious affiliation. The SoulDeevas will include programs that provide activities, resources and support during critical out-of-school time hours in a safe, nurturing environment that works from a strengths-based, youth development perspective.
