Are you a dependable, safe, and courteous driver who can help us make this important delivery?

Volunteer Transportation Specialists deliver life-saving blood products from Red Cross distribution facilities to hospitals using a Red Cross owned vehicle. Commit to 2-4 shifts per month (or more if you can!). Typical shifts are about 4 hours.

Qualifications:

  1. Have a valid state driver's license and proof of insurance
  2. Have 3 years driving experience and a clean driving record
  3. Can lift up to 45 lbs.
  4. Must pass a background check
  5. Complete training

Safety: Our need for volunteers is constant and our guidelines reflect the latest CDC safety recommendations and follow the national and local government laws. COVID-19 vaccination will be required for in-person volunteer roles beginning January 3 rd, 2022.
