Sleeping outside in icy weather is dangerous, but helping people stay safe is very cool. Keep your neighbors warm by volunteering with Pinellas County’s Cold Night Shelters!
Cold Night Shelters are pop-up shelters operating through Pinellas County when the "feels like" temperate dips below 40-degrees. There are several shelters throughout the county, including St. Petersburg, Pinellas Park, Clearwater, and Tarpon Springs. The Cold Night Shelter season begins on November 15th, and it will run through March 15th.
Shifts last for up to 6 hours. Volunteers should be notified of a shelter activation 24-hours before the shelter is due to open.
