Camp Kindness Counts believes in the power of kindness within young people, adults, and families to create a happier, healthier, and stronger world. We are committed to providing tools for character development that help foster social-emotional well-being and opportunities for service and social action to help build a generation of compassionate, courageous, and kind leaders and community members. In order to successfully run our nonprofit we are in search for a grant writing volunteer who is already versed in these tasks,

Mission Statement

The vision of our program is to empower, inspire and teach youth how they can create a positive impact around them with their acts of kindness. To create a future generation of kind, mindful, intelligent leaders is important. It is also an optimal window of opportunity to build on children’s natural skills of empathy during their impressionable years. Through our research we have found when children are given the opportunity to connect with kindness "face to face", experiencing the results of their actions first hand is when learning becomes impactful, empowering and inspiring.

Description

We begin with our basic skill of empathy, which is introduced at home and fostered where kids spend most of their day, in school. By learning from each other and working together, kids slowly transition and expand learning and actively connecting with kindness outside of their comfort zone. Kids will gain a whole picture perspective of how one simple act of kindness can make a positive impact around them and become aware of how they can be the positive change around them!
