Volunteer Ushers work at all of the shows presented at the Ross Ragland Theater. Ushers do various tasks (ticket-taker, concessions, greeting and seating patrons, hospitality) to ensure patrons have a quality experience at the theater. Ushers also ensure safety of patrons and assist with minor cleanup. Ushers are able to view the performances during their volunteer shift. Membership with the Guild requires a $20 yearly dues payment for adult members. Student fees are currently waived for membership.

Ushers are required to adhere to a black and white dress code for performances. Special events may allow for other types of dress.

1 Shift

  • evening / 06:00 PM to 10:00 PM
    This is the general time for evening shows; there are also matinee performances on the weekends.

The Ross Ragland Theater Guild is a non-profit service organization dedicated to assisting the Theater in its mission to bring quality performances and arts education to the Klamath Basin.

Description

The Guild provides services such as Ushers, OLCC servers, Hospitality service and other assistance for the operation of the theater. The Guild is vital to the operation of the theater, providing volunteer staff for all shows throughout the performance season.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 16
  • Orientation or Training
  • A yearly commitment of approximately 15 hours is required. Ushers can work whichever events they choose.
  • Black pants, black shoes, white shirt. Ushers must present as both professional and friendly, with customer service to theater patrons as the primary goal.
