We have opportunities for volunteers at least one day a week, sometimes as much as four times a week, helping at a construction site, at a home repair site or a home cleanup site. There are always projects in Forest Grove, and we often have projects in Gaston, North Plains, Banks, Cornelius, Gales Creek and other parts of Western Washington County.
No construction experience needed: we will teach you all you need to know or give you tasks that don't require construction skills. You might help put in dry wall or help put items in a dumpster or help paint or mop a floor or help a piece of lumber while someone else hammers. Your volunteering helps low-income families achieve their dream of homeownership or helps a vulnerable home owner stay in their home. A safety orientation will take place at the beginning of your first day from our on site volunteer manager. You will need to bring water and a snack, as well as work clothes, closed toe shoes and, if you have them, gloves. Also, dress for the weather - work often happens rain or shine! Groups welcomed! Our home construction volunteers work every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday 9am-1pm, rain or shine. Our home repair/yard work crews may work just one day a week - or every day in a week. Check with us, let us know your availability, and we'll match you to a role!

Description
We are West Tuality Habitat for Humanity, based in Forest Grove, Oregon. We are a nonprofit organization committed to bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope. With the help of donors, volunteers, and sponsors we team up with local families to build homes with an affordable mortgage and do critical home repairs in Western Washington County. We serve the communities of Forest Grove, Cornelius, Gaston, Gales Creek, Buxton, Banks, North Plains and the surrounding areas in Western Washington County, Oregon. We are an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International.
