Bike MS is the fundraising cycling series of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and raises more money than any other cycling event for any other cause. To date, Bike MS cyclists, volunteers, and donors have raised more than $1.3 billion to stop MS in its tracks, restore what's been lost, and end MS forever.
We are growing our "Steering Committee" for the Austin portion of our annual Texas MS150 ride. This ride takes place every year at the beginning of May where 10,000+ riders and 3,000+ volunteers participate in support of those living with MS. Our volunteer-led committee starts meeting monthly in October to assist staff members with the planning of this fundraising event.
We are currently in need of a Social Media Lead for the committee. This individual will work closely with the Fundraising Chair, Sponsorship Chair, Promo Team Lead, Ambassador Lead and Austin Start Line Lead to post opportunities and communications on the BIKE MS: Texas MS 150 Austin Area page. The goal for this year will be to increase post engagement 10% by May of 2022.
Time commitment: 30-60 minutes a week .
Goal: 2 to 3 posts a week with varying focuses from research, advocacy, Ambassador profiles, Team Captain profiles, Top Fundraiser profiles, Rider profiles, and ride news/announcements.

The South Central Region, headquartered in Houston, TX is made up of five states: Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Texas, and New Mexico.
Seeking out and engaging volunteers to join the movement is at the very core of our organization.
We engage volunteers at every level. Join an event committee, volunteer at a walk or bike event, advocate at the capitol, volunteer at our office, no matter how you choose to contribute, you are doing something about MS now!
The Society is looking for passionate volunteers with expertise in areas such as: marketing communications, public relations, corporate and donor development, medical, legal, administrative and organizational expertise.
We are always looking for volunteers who want to share their time and talent to help stop MS!
