Standby Volunteers needed for Dog Rescue!
Quick Overview: We need you! You give us the days and times you are available and we add you to a list. Then, if something comes up that day- you will be the first one we call. We try very hard to plan things in advance, but if there is a last minute opportunity to save a life, get a dog adopted, or a foster emergency, it helps to have a handful of people we reach out to first!
Mission: We're a 501c-3 non-profit dog rescue based out of West Hollywood. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs from many different SoCal shelters before they are set to be euthanized and placing them with a foster home until we can find them a forever home. We do not have a facility where we board our pups, which is why volunteers are such a vital part of our mission to rescue these death row dogs.
Impact: We could not survive without the invaluable support of its volunteers. Even if you are unable to adopt or foster a dog, don't fret! There are plenty of ways to turn your passion for animals into much-needed assistance.
Roles & Responsibilities: Donate your time and assist us with walks, events, transportation, and anything inbetween in case of an emergency.
Requirements: We do require that our volunteers be at least 18 years of age. We also require that our volunteers to have a vehicle and valid driver's license. Lastly, simply being available for us to call on you whenever we need assistance is also a great way to lend a hand. Become a volunteer for Ace of Hearts and help us continue to save and improve the lives of our amazing furry friends.
Additional Information: Being a standby volunteer helps us reach out to volunteers with availability that day instead of calling our entire volunteer list. If there is a day, half a day, or even a few hours you can volunteer to be placed on a "call in case of an emergency" list, let us know! This can be for many different tasks, and almost always requires some driving.
If this is something that you're interested in and want to spend time with some sweet loving pups- sign up and contact us! You can email us at http://email@example.com.
All volunteers participating in this volunteer opportunity should adhere to the health and safety guidelines outlined here: https://www.laworks.com/health-and-safety.

About Ace of Hearts

We are a 501c-3 dog rescue foundation dedicated to rescuing dogs, the day they are to be euthanized, from various Los Angeles shelters and placing them in loving homes. We do NOT take dogs in ... we rescue only from shelters. The Ace of Hearts Foundation is in memory of "Ace", a wonderful American Bull dog who was rescued from death, and touched the lives of many! (Especially founder Kari Whitman!) We rescue all breeds...and don't discriminate against any!

We are in desperate need of standby volunteers!
Can't help with this but still want to volunteer? We can always use extra hands:
