Support invasive plant removal at Hermit’s Cove! This part of the park has large swaths of land covered by ice plant (Carpobrotus edulis) and glasswort (Salsola soda) which are invasive species that can cause erosion and overwhelm the ecosystem's native plants. This project will allow native species such as hairy gumplant (Grindelia hirsutula) and silver burr ragweed (Ambrosia chaminssonis) to thrive and protect biodiversity. Ages 10 and older are welcome (minors must be accompanied by an adult and bring a waiver signed by their guardian). Lunch will be provided.

Registration is required to ensure volunteers receive important details on where to meet the group and what to bring. Please sign up on our webpage https://volunteer.calparks.org/
