Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) is a nonpartisan organization that helps volunteers advocate for climate solutions by engaging with their members of Congress and other government officials.

Environmental policy changes that occur every time political power shifts can be costly to American businesses. Additional employees must be hired to advise on policy changes, costly fines can be levied on those who fail to adjust, and long term, profit maximizing strategies become more difficult to develop. CCL is dedicated to promoting nonpartisan, sustainable environmental policies that benefit all sides of the political spectrum.

We provide:

  • Monthly national conference calls with expert guest speakers
  • Online network with conservative volunteers across the U.S.
  • Resources for learning about the conservative environmental perspective
  • National Conferences
  • Weekly skill building sessions

CCL is a home for business owners of all sizes that are concerned with the four year pendulum swing in politics. Policies such as Carbon Fee and Dividend provide a nonpartisan approach to tackling major economic and environmental issues our country faces today. The political stability and economic growth that carbon pricing could produce would yield huge benefits for businesses. CCL offers the resources and materials for businesses to become leaders in their community and amplify their voice to their representatives.

CCL empowers everyone in exercising their personal and political power regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, religion, ability or political affiliation. We seek out, support, and elevate people whose voices may not have been fully heard.

About Citizens' Climate Lobby

Location:

Mission Statement

Take Action to Solve the Climate Crisis: Dr. James Hansen, climate scientist: "Most impressive is the work of the Citizens' Climate Lobby, a relatively new, fastgrowing, nonpartisan, nonprofit group with [250+] chapters across the United States and Canada. If you want to join the fight to save the planet, to save creation for your grandchildren, there is no more effective step you could take than becoming an active member of this group." Citizens' Climate Lobby is committed to two purposes: (1) to create the political will for a stable and sustainable climate and (2) to empower individuals to have a breakthrough in exercising their personal and political power.

Description

Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots advocacy organization focused on national policies to address climate change. In order to generate the political will necessary for passage of Carbon Fee and Dividend legislation (H.R.763) we train and support volunteers to engage elected officials, the media and the public. During the global Covid-19 pandemic, in-person meetings are on pause but there are many ways to train and volunteer virtually. We welcome anyone who is serious about solving climate change as a volunteer. And we work with members of Congress across the political spectrum to find common ground on climate change solutions.
