No country is unaffected by the ravages of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the past months, we have witnessed the devastating surge of the COVID-19 cases in India. The first wave struck us hard and the second wave was even deadlier and now, what looms is the threat of a potential third wave. The fight is still going on and people are still fighting. Help India Breathe, a COVID-19 fundraiser launched by Feminist Pen Foundation is working to reach the "last-mile" health and food facilities to the ones’ struggling, the ones’ fighting and for the ones’ not giving up.

As the coronavirus continues to spread, we need your support to help us raise funds for vital supplies and expand our help to affected communities. This is your chance to help in this time of uncertainty by supporting our organisation and help us provide aid to affected communities and individuals.

Project Roadmap

Step 1

Once you are selected as a fundraiser volunteer, you are expected to run a donation drive for our cause. Firstly, the volunteers are expected to understand the cause behind the fundraiser thoroughly. You are expected to create and maintain a personal donor database, which should be shared with the organization.

You are required to publicise and promote the fundraising links in your network and leverage social media to increase supporters for our campaign. Set a fundraising goal/target for yourself and track the donations made by your donor leads by maintaining active spreadsheets.

Step 3

Spearhead the campaign to select corporate, government organizations, and appropriate contacts and build by adding partner organizations to the potential donor list.

Step 4

Discuss with us in detail about any ideas for fundraising activities. (Could be anything from a web-based activity to a community event near your location. Feminist Pen team will help you with the same). Chart down goals and budget for the activity/activities.

Keep the organisation in loop with regard to your activities and completion of tasks and come in for meetings for smooth operations. Throughout the length of your volunteership, you are expected to reach out to potential donors and educate them about the donation drive, our objectives, and the beneficiaries for the same.

Impact

Your cooperation will help us in raising funds for our 8 partner organizations that work with the most vulnerable communities in India. The donations we receive (Which you will help us raise) will directly impact COVID-affected rural farmer families, economically and socially backward communities such as Dalit families, transgender communites, slum dwellers by providing them with necessary ration and hygiene kits and direct cash support/support required to people from the aforementioned communities with sustaining existing/creating new livelihood opportunities and afford necessary healthcare to fight against COVID. The funds from the drive will also be used to provide school kits and set-up online education amenities for children in the aforementioned communities.
