We will be hosting a Mexican Loteria/ Loteria Mexicana on Sunday October 17, 2021 @ 2:00pm till about 5:00 pm. We will have shifts from 12-2 and 2-5. We will need help setting up chairs, tents, organizing the cards and passing out the cards and helping with the kitchen as we will be selling food. We will need help with the parking and ushering people as they enter. It will be lots of fun! Come have fun and lend a hand. We thank you in advance- Muchisimas Gracias!

    This shift will be to set up the bingo mixer- you can stay to play or keep helping.

    You can come early to play and stay to help close down.

Mission Statement

Fuerza Unida’s mission is to empower women workers, particularly women workers of color, and their families to achieve social, economic and environmental justice through education, organizing and advocacy. A special part of Fuerza Unida’s mission is to address issues confronting garment workers in economic crisis because of plant closings and lay-offs. Fuerza Unida words to advance the rights of women, immigrants, low-income workers, and communities of color by providing education, training, guidance, and accessible information so that they may protect their rights and those of their families and communities.

Description

Today the women of Fuerza Unida continue working towards providing support to the groups that still struggle through oppression here in San Antonio. They provide a variety of services for their members, and work together to inform the community about everyday struggles minorities face. They currently have four active programs established to support the community.
We have a monthly food pantry; Thread of Justice; Youth of Fuerza; and School of Justice.
