Bust a Crust! is Meals on Wheels of Southwest OH & Northern KY's signature fundraiser event and it's back for it's second year!

Join us for the 2021 Bust a Crust! weekend and help us prepare pie orders for the Thanksgiving holiday! Local bakers and bakeries have graciously donated their special and sweet pies to Meals on Wheels to be sold to community members at $25 a pie ($25 feeds a senior for one week with Meals on Wheels). Pies sales are live from October 15 - November 15 and November 20 is the BIG distribution day.

Last year we over exceeded our goal of 400 pies with a sale of 1700 and this year we have a goal of 10,000! So to answer your question... YES! We need ALL HANDS ON DECK! Opportunities start on Friday November 19 as we prepare for the BIG day, November 20 and run through November 23 as we deliver the last of the pies and clear out the Xavier's Hoff Dining Hall.

Opportunities include:

• Unloaders - Unload pies at Xavier University
• Station Staging - Set up stations and signage for the BIG day
• Pie Packers - Pack pies, label them and add a pie cutter
• Pie Runners - Run pie orders out to customers
• Pie Greeters - Greet customers as they arrive
• Box Posse - Fold and assemble the bakery boxes for pies
• Breakfast Baristas - Serve breakfast to our volunteers
• Volunteer Greeters and Check In - Check volunteers in and take them to their assigned stations
• Lunch Leads - Serve Lunch to our volunteers
