MLMS senior storytellers
We create memoir books for seniors. Stories are captured in one-on-one meet-ups with volunteers and are transcribed!

In partnership with Curry Senior Center, our organizations are supporting The Dream Keeper Initiative, a new citywide effort in San Francisco to reinvest $120 million over the next two years from law enforcement into BIPOC communities. MLMS and Curry are working together to provide older adults of color the opportunity to share their stories and in doing so, shift the narrative.

We're looking for Bay Area volunteers who are interested in joining us at Curry Senior Center in the Tenderloin on Saturday, May 14 from 10:00am-11:30am. Each volunteer will be partnered with an older adult for a creative writing exercise to help preserve their life memories. These stories will be shared at our next storytelling event or as part of a published book.

COVID related guidance: All volunteers and clients will be required to wear masks throughout the activity, which will take place indoors but will be socially distanced. The Curry Senior Center does not require their clients to be vaccinated.
