Talent for Epilepsy is a registered 501c3 non-profit. We create family friendly events which advocate Epilepsy awareness in a fun and interactive way. Proceeds are donated to those who struggle with the epilepsy. Talent for Epilepsy's goal is to increase awareness and educate the public about seizure first aid and to break the stigma.
Excited to be back for our Annual Tree Lighting and Toy Drive. Toys and proceeds donated to children and teens effected by epilepsy.
The show is from 6-8pm.
We will need volunteers to help with setup 4-6pm and breakdown 8-9pm.
All volunteers are asked to stay from 4-9pm and are given 10 hours of volunteer service for the inconvenience.
Setup/Breakdown Volunteers will be asked to lift and move heavy objects. Help with the setup of step and repeat, tables, and other items as well as help with decorations at the Coordination of our Volunteer/Decorations Director.
At 8pm we will need to breakdown quickly, clean up any trash or mess, and load all supplies/toys into the truck/SUV.

Description
Talent for Epilepsy was founded in 2009 by Grace Edwards. Her cousin Logan is a person with Epilepsy. He is one of 3 million Americans affected by this irreversible neurological disorder. It is estimated that 1 in 26 people have epilepsy and that it is responsible for over 50,000 U.S. deaths each year.
Logan was diagnosed with Epilepsy in 2005, we have watched him deal with the stigma associated with this disorder throughout his life. Kids and even adults do not understand what Epilepsy is or how to deal with it. Logan gets blank stare seizures and grand mal seizures. Thanks to medicine that Logan takes daily and a pacemaker that was surgically implanted in his chest Logan’s seizures are not as severe as they could be. But surgery, tests and medicine are expensive and even the best insurance does not cover much when it comes to Epilepsy.
Grace decided that she wanted to do something to help people pay for medicine and she also wanted to raise awareness. Thus, Talent for Epilepsy was created and with help from family, friends and the community the first Talent for Epilepsy Talent & Fashion show was held in 2013 with a huge success! Raising over $5000 and reaching over 500 people.
