Newsletter and Social Media
Bridges Project of Ocala is looking for Volunteers to help in our Social Media & Communications Department.
We are a Florida nonprofit organization that works in the space of social justice with an emphasis on racial reconciliation, engaging law enforcement, addressing public housing concerns, and enhancing public education.
We currently are in need of help with both our social media presence and a digital newsletter that is sent out via Mailchimp. Volunteers will work remotely and the schedule is flexible. The newsletter has deadlines to meet, but can be done at your convenience.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.
About BRIDGES PROJECT OCALA-MARION COUNTY INC
PO BOX 5213, OCALA, FL 34478, US
The mission of Bridges Project Ocala-Marion County is to break through barriers among racial and social groups and individuals in Marion County, and to build pathways to understanding for the reduction and elimination of conflict.
Bridges Project started in January, 2015 as a study group following a Friday Forum on the topic of racism that was heavily attended and had a passionate audience response.
Bridges Project took the lead in organizing for removal of the Confederate flag from McPherson Government Complex. Bridges’ activists contributed to the extensive public comments at County Commission meetings throughout the summer and fall of 2015. The flag was changed to a different Confederate flag (its first flag) , and its display moved outside the County Museum of History inside McPherson Government Complex .
