The Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (MABVI) recruits volunteers all across the state to help neighbors in need who are experiencing vision loss. Volunteers help those who are blind or visually impaired live the full and complete lives they want to live by helping with tasks such as reading mail, shopping for groceries and community errands.
Currently we have an urgent need for a volunteer with a vehicle who lives in or near Orange MA. Volunteers should be willing to help an elderly gentleman with errands around town, reading mail and grocery shopping. Volunteers should be kind, trustworthy and willing to drive the participant in their car.
To become a MABVI volunteer, one must complete and application, submit a CORI, take a training and have a brief interview with the volunteer team.
Help a neighbor, make an impact!

Mission Statement

Established in 1903, the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (MABVI) is the oldest program in the country providing services to adults with vision loss. Helen Keller served on our first advisory board. MABVI is dedicated to empowering individuals to live with dignity. We provide access to a full range of sight loss services and help reduce fears and isolation caused by vision loss. With offices in Brookline and Worcester, we serve more than 7,000 blind and visually impaired individuals every year. MABVI is a program of MAB Community Services.
