Come volunteer for our annual Halloween Fundraiser: Goblin Jamboree!
This special event takes place over the course of 7 days and is packed with fun arts and STEM projects, as well as Halloween themed adventures throughout the site.
*NOTE: Volunteers need only apply to work 1 day, but can work multiple if interested in doing so!*
Volunteers will be paired up with our experience floor staff to help facilitate a spooky fun time! Our volunteers will have the chance to work in the following spaces:
The Hay Maze
Hay Mountain
Dia De Los Muertos Crafts
Build-a-Ghost
All volunteers will be required to fill out a liability waiver, and to share their proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Volunteers can work in 3-4hr shifts between the time of 8:30am-3pm. We will have special opportunities for volunteers to work private events between 3:30pm-5:30pm as well.
Did we mention that costumes are encouraged?!

Description
In our one-of-a-kind location at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge on 7.5 acres of National Park land, the Bay Area Discovery Museum facilitates child-directed, open-ended, inquiry-driven learning through hands-on exhibitions, rich activities and risk- friendly challenges designed to ignite creativity, as well as STEM skills and critical thinking.
Additionally, the Museum’s research and advisory division, the Center for Childhood Creativity (CCC), is working at a national scale to advance the research that informs our understanding of childhood creativity, advocate for its critical importance and inspire the next generation of innovators, thought leaders and problem-solvers.

REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 16
- We ask volunteers to volunteer for 3, 4, or 8 hours. It is their choice how long they would like to volunteer. We are flexible for volunteers who need accommodation for shorter shifts.
- This volunteer opportunity requires volunteers to be on their feet, interacting with the public for the majority of their shift. Masks are required. Volunteers under the age of 16 must have an adult over 18 years old with them at all times.
