Mount Sinai Beth Israel Victim Services Program is seeking compassionate, caring advocates to provide support to survivors of sexual and intimate partner violence in our Emergency Department after business hours and on weekends. These services are in person and Covid vaccine will be required.

Volunteers must be at least 21 years old, able to commit to one FULL year of service, sign up for THREE 12 hour shifts per month, and attend ALL sessions of our free, mandatory in-person and virtual training. All COVID safety measures will be observed.

Volunteer Training Schedule:

January 8th 10am-4pm (in-person)

January 10th, 6pm - 9pm (virtual)

January 18th, 6pm - 9pm (virtual)

January 22nd, 10am - 4pm (in-person)

January 23rd, 10am - 4pm (in-person)

January 31st, 6pm 9pm (virtual)

February 1st 6pm - 9pm (virtual)

February 5th, 10am - 4pm (in-person)

  • 08:00 AM to 08:00 PM
    The shifts are 7pm to 8am weekdays, 8am to 8pm or 8pm to 8am weekends. must be available via phone during shift, to come in to the ED if needed.
