About This Garden:
The Farm at Kelly Miller is a collaborative space, managed by multiple DC-based nonprofits. This space functions as both a production farm and a Community Green Space for all ages. The City Blossoms team manages the Farm’s Youth Garden, where we provide free drop-in programming for children, including cooking tutorials, crafts, and maintenance activities.

Details: We will convene within the garden to do a quick introduction before splitting up into smaller working groups. We hope to tackle quite a bit of weeding, planting, and some painting projects with our participants. Please dress in outdoor work clothes as well as closed toe shoes. Masks are required. Participants are encouraged to bring water bottles, sunscreen, and bug spray. City Blossoms will provide all gloves and tools. Please note that City Blossoms will host this workday rain or shine, unless otherwise specified.

Parking Instructions: There will be some parking available within the school’s parking lot (just down the hill from the garden) as well as along the residential side streets surrounding the farm. Bikes can be locked to bike racks along the school and pool or along the Farm’s fence, which extends the property.
