Happy New Year!
Have you made your New Year’s Resolutions yet? Have you considered volunteering? The American Red Cross has many opportunities to help you connect your skills, availability and interest with needs in your community.
Currently, our biggest needed is for the following volunteers:
Disaster Action Team
Every day people are forced from their homes due to fires, storms or other disasters. Our Disaster Action Team volunteers respond day and night to meet the immediate needs of their neighbors. Our help may include financial assistance for food, clothing and lodging, emotional support, replacing prescription medications and other critically needed items. The Red Cross provides all the training needed and all new members are paired with an experienced member to provide guidance and support.

Mission Statement
The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors
Description
Each day, thousands of people - people just like you - provide compassionate care to those in need. Our network of generous donors, volunteers and employees share a mission of preventing and relieving suffering, here at home and around the world.
We roll up our sleeves and donate time, money and blood. We learn or teach life-saving skills so our communities can be better prepared when the need arises. We do this every day because the Red Cross is needed - every day.
