Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters (JBBBS) is seeking a BIPOC LGBTQ+ BIG (ages 25-45) to be matched with Shanice, a Black non-binary 18 year old "future Maya Angelou." Shanice describes their preference for a potential Big as a "confident Black non-binary person." Shanice has many interests and is a very good student. They like going to the beach. Shanice is an athlete who plays volleyball (their favorite), soccer, and basketball. They also enjoy anything pertaining to hair and nails. Shanice has not fully come out to family and could benefit from a caring adult who can help them navigate being their authentic self.
JBBBS welcomes volunteers from all religions, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Matches agree to meet 2x/mo, mostly weekends, and make at least a one year commitment. Every match is supported by a Masters Level Clinical Match Specialist who is there to help the match succeed. Car required. Check out our website to learn more and apply: jbbbs.org. For more information, contact Tania@JBBBS.org.
