Position Title: OAON Market Social Media Coordinator

Summary of Qualifications: Under the supervision of the APEDF Chair, the Social Media Coordinator is responsible for posting and promoting APEDF events, recaps updates and other information relevant to the organization on social media outlets. The Social Media Coordinator promotes APEDF, winning support for the self-determination and economic self-reliance programs of the Uhuru Movement.

Essential Functions:

• Post and promote photos, videos and descriptions of events, meetings, positions and all things Uhuru movement on Facebook, Instagram, and other social media sources.
• Maintain a record/report of all social media based work (e.g. postings, shares, boards, DM questions, etc)
• Attends and makes reports to APEDF outreach and community meetings
• Coordinates social media needs and actions with the program committee as needed.
• Must attend APEDF community and sub-committee meetings.

• Ability to win support for APEDF and promote the programs of the Uhuru Movement.
• Personable and people-oriented.
• Works collaboratively, team player.
• Self-motivated and has the ability to lead and motivate others.
• Detail oriented. Able to prioritize tasks and manage time well.

Qualifications

• Basic computer and internet proficiency or willingness to learn including managing simple Excel spreadsheets and Word documents, Google Docs and Hubspot social media platforms.
• Proficiency in organizing and navigating social media platforms (Facebook and IG)
• Some experience in promotions and marketing.
