Description: This program is our social-emotional learning (SEL) cornerstone. Girls will focus on self-esteem, mental health support, and promoting healthy identities with a trauma-responsive approach. Girls conclude this program feeling strong, smart, and bold!

Site: In-person ; at various school sites (Anaheim and Santa Ana school district)

Grade level of participants: 6th - 8th graders

Time Commitment:

  • Interns will be required to work at least 3 hours per week.
  • This internship will last for about 10-12 weeks.
Placement Requirement:
  • Applicant must complete an interview and attend the intern orientation.
  • In-person interns must be fully vaccinated.
  • Interns must complete a background check through our provider, Sterling Volunteers.
  • Interns must be available for at least ONE of the following shifts:

    Mondays

    8am-10am

    10am-12pm

    12:30pm-2:30pm

    2:00-4:00pm

    Tuesdays

    8:00-10:00am

    10am-12pm

    12pm-2:30pm

    Wednesdays

    8:00-10:00am

    10am-12pm

    12pm-2:30pm

    Thursdays

    8:00-10:00am

    10am-12pm

    12pm-2:30pm

    Fridays

    8:00-10:00am

    10am-12pm

    12pm-2:30pm

Volunteers support various programs for girls in kindergarten through high school. Programs include early literacy, STEM, financial literacy, health and wellness, college bound, and more! Once you attend an orientation, you are eligible for upcoming volunteer opportunities and placement options.
