VisionWalk is a family-friendly 5K walkathon fundraiser benefitting the Foundation Fighting Blindness and their mission to find treatments and cures for diseases causing blindness. More information about the organization is available at FightingBlindness.org.
Volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks:
* Morning setup (placing signage, setting up stations (registration, refreshments, etc.) and other tasks as needed.
* Registration (checking in attendees and collecting any donations given)
* Refreshments (assisting guests, maintaining stock, etc.)
* Kids Zone (assisting with and monitoring games and kids activities)
* Route Monitor (directing walkers along the route, distributing candy for trick-or-treaters, maintaining mid-point water station)
* Clean Up (helping to break down event after attendees leave)
Free parking.
