Nurse

As the oldest free healthcare clinic in the United States, St. Frances Cabrini Clinic provides a holistic approach towards meeting the primary health care needs of economically disadvantaged residents of metro Detroit and beyond. They serve those who fall through the medical-social safety net, and help them connect with basic resources. We offer education, prevention, and treatment without charge, but with deep compassion and respect for the people we serve and their needs. The Mercy Volunteer supports the daily operations of the clinic as a patient navigator and clinic assistant. The volunteer will provide hospitality, supporting patient intake and documentation, organizing events, and various front desk responsibilities. It is preferred that the volunteer has fluency in Spanish or French, but is not required.

SAY Family Health Clinic Detroit is a primary care clinic serving uninsured and underinsured patients who may be homeless or do not qualify for medical coverage. The Clinic has a primary care provider on staff and additionally works with volunteer specialty providers to deliver comprehensive care to patients in the metro Detroit area. The clinic is currently supporting efforts to test and vaccinate Detroit residents. A volunteer is needed to support healthcare administrative operations. This includes documentation, supporting clinical buildout, developing operational policies and procedures. The volunteer will also work directly with patients on health improvement, connection to other local and government resources, or insurance
enrollment.
