FACES counseling services has been in operation serving families for over 30 years and needs volunteers to connect with corporations to sponsor our events and our general operation support. In meeting connections to these companies you can also tell them about our telehealth work so employees can log on and have a counseling session at lunch!

We like to research companies that have similar missions as FACES. You will have the opportunity to test your outreach skills . We are excited to build this part of our development team which includes individual donations, grants and contracts. You can be that motivated volunteer who will fundraise via corporate sponsorships.
In your work with FACES you will be given an orientation to learn about us, and even given the opportunity to serve a few weeks in the office if you wish answering phones and setting appointments. Our volunteers find that this immersion in the non profit gives them a first hand flavor of our operations and gives them more energy to tell others our story: FACES mission is to provide assessment, mental health services, education services, and support to families in crisis from separation and divorce, domestic violence and substance abuse to prevent family violence.

Our vision is to reach all families with counseling services and education for prevention and intervention of family disruption and violence. To help families solve problems and receive the emotional attention and support they need to rebuild their lives.

This position will initiate, nurture, and deliver sponsorship relationships for FACES, located in LA and Orange Counties, and serving families all over California via telehealth.


Responsibilities include:

• Identify and build relationships with potential donors
• Contact corporate representatives, and keep database information on these contacts.
• Develop strategies to encourage new or increased contributions
• Secure commitments of participation, and eventually donations from individuals or corporate donors
• Work with event team to develop a sponsorship plan
• Help to recruit and train sponsorship committee volunteers

Strengths

• Strong and professional communication skills -- written, verbal, presentation
• Has a strong internal commitment to increasing our community's participation, as non profits are "owned" by the community. Energy for making connections every time you are at your tasks
• Ability to bring new community involvement ideas to the team
• Willingness to become connected in the corporate community and willing to ask others to support the cause
• Comfortable asking for large monetary contributions.
