This specialized volunteer opportunity is specifically for veterans and families of veterans. Kindred Hospice Care honors veterans and their families. The opportunities include: visitations/companionship, pinning ceremonies, and memorial service attendance. Volunteers are welcome to volunteer for one or all opportunities. Time commitment will depend upon a volunteer's personal availability.
Kindred Hospice provides comprehensive training that all volunteers must take before meeting patients or their families.
* ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST HAVE PROOF OF COVID VACCINATIONS

Our care teams specialize in pain and symptom management, as well as emotional and spiritual support for the patient and family. An individualized plan of care is developed for each patient based on comfort care measures needed and the wishes of the patient and family.
