Volunteer your time to provide companionship to hospice patients in the St. Charles County area.
The final stages of life can be lonely, having volunteer companionship visits means so much to our patients. Sit by our patients bedside and talk with them, watch tv with them, read books to them, paint their nails, or even just sit and provide comfort to them while they sleep.
Volunteers typically visit once a week for around 1 hour.
This can be a great opportunity and experience for those looking to go into the medical field, those passionate about working with the aging population, or just those looking to volunteer their time in a meaningful way.
High school students, college students, retired folks, all are welcome! :)
Requirements:
-16+ years old
-Valid driver's license and auto insurance
-Registered with the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry
-Drug Test
-2 Part TB Skin Test
-Orientation
-Online Trainings
-COVID Vaccinated
