Become A Companion Volunteer for Brookhaven Hospice
Hospice provides physical, emotional and spiritual support for terminally ill patients and their families. All volunteers receive specialized training and ongoing support. Our volunteers are an important and essential part of our Brookhaven Hospice Team.
Would you like to spend one hour a week listening to a patient's stories, reading to them, holding their hand or just being the person that helps brighten their day? Many of our patients reside in nursing facilities or assisted living facilities, some may still be in their own home or the home of a family member. Many of our patients may have no family or friends left to visit them, or may only get occasional visits. You could make them feel special, and also bring them comfort in their time of need. At Brookhaven we believe that life should be celebrated and filled with hope and joy. As a hospice volunteer, you can make an impactful difference in the lives of others!
