Atlanta GLOW is partnering with Johnsonville for their "Big Taste Grill" event at the Lakepoint Sports Complex on October 15-17, in Cartersville, and we’re looking for event volunteers to help us during the weekend! The Big Taste Grill has been touring around the country for over 25 years, serving up sausages and goodwill. At every event, they partner with a new nonprofit - sausages are handed out to customers in return for donations, all of which go directly back to the nonprofit partner. Atlanta GLOW is excited to be this year's nonprofit partner, and we are seeking a minimum of 30 volunteers to assist with the event. All details are provided below for your consideration. Minimum Volunteer Age: 16+
Volunteers Needed: Minimum 6-8 per shift/day
Volunteer Duties: Grilling/serving sausages and handling cash + credit card donations.
Dates and Times: Volunteers should arrive 30 minutes prior to their shift. Shift times are as follows:
- Fri. Oct. 15 - 3pm-7pm
- Sat. Oct. 16 - 11am-3pm or 3pm-7pm
- Sun. Oct. 17 - 11am-3pm or 3pm-7pm
We need lots of bodies for this event! Sign up for as many shifts as you would like, and help spread the word!
Volunteer Apparel: Volunteers are welcome to wear casual apparel. Must wear comfortable closed toe shoes.

Founded in 2014, Atlanta Growing Leadership Of Women (GLOW) is a faith-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that serves young women and girls, ages 14-25, from underserved communities. We want to see more girls grow up with the vision and motivation to change the pattern of poverty for themselves and future generations. Therefore, trough our mentoring and life skills programs, Atlanta GLOW models and teaches the social-emotional, leadership and life skills they need to successfully transition to adulthood and become thriving, active members of society.
