WANTED!!
Passionate Volunteers for Our Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of the Bay Area Walk.
Your support will bring your community together with determination, hope, empathy, caring, and passion, so no one has to walk alone. Thank you for choosing to volunteer with us!
HOW YOU CAN PUT YOUR DETERMINATION TO WORK: Volunteers are needed at every phase of the event from set-up to clean up from 8:00 am until 8:00 pm on October 23 rd at the Discovery Meadow Park in San Jose.
CHECK-IN: Help participants and volunteers check in at the event. May require pre-event training. 18 years or older 11:30 am to 3:30 pm
ROUTE MARSHALS: Direct walkers on the route. Duties may include traffic control. 12 pm to 4 pm
WATER STATIONS: Distribute water to walkers along the route. 12 pm to 4 pm
MERCHANDISE: Promote T-shirts and other promotional items. 12 pm to 4 pm
VOLUNTEER CHECK-IN: Sign in and direct volunteers to their stations. 8 am to 12 pm & 12 pm to 4 pm
GREETERS/CHEERERS: Greet walkers and lead them to check-in. Encourage walkers and give them directions along the route. 12:00 pm to 4 pm.
FIRST AID: Provide medical attention if needed. Requires certification. 12 pm to 4 pm.
SETUP: May involve heavy lifting, moving, and loading. 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
CLEANUP: May involve heavy lifting, moving, and loading. 4 pm to 8 pm
