About Rocky Mountain Refuge for end of life care (formerly Lazarus Gate)
Location:

Mission Statement
Providing dignified end-of-life care in a safe environment to our terminally ill unhoused neighbors.
Description
While there are many organizations providing pathways out of homelessness, there will always be some percentage of adults and children on the street. Some contributing factors include PTSD, drug addiction, bankruptcy, escaping violence, mental illness, job loss, disability, transitioning out of foster care, past felonies, or because a person has made the choice to live on the streets.
Rocky Mountain Refuge for end of life care believes that when a person receives a terminal diagnosis, the only detail that truly matters is finding a safe place to land, an opportunity to reconnect with loved ones, and a dignified and private end-of-life experience. Homeless shelters, nonprofit care providers and city employees are not equipped to handle the death and dying of these unsheltered individuals.
Our care residence is located in Denver.
