ORGANIZATION: Pet Resource Center of Kansas City

If you're feeling like you need to do something to step up and help your community -- this is it!

Uplift is an incredible organization providing hot meals, clothing and other supplies to KC's unhoused community members. They are out multiple nights per week visiting local encampments to offer support. PRCKC follows their routes on Wednesday evenings to offer support to unhoused pet owners. We distribute food and other resources as well as discuss vaccination and spay/neuter surgery support with pet owners.

Volunteers will meet at our clinic at 4:30-5 pm Wednesday evenings and travel together to the Uplift building at 6pm downtown to head out on that night's assigned route. Shifts may run until 9pm-10pm depending on how many individuals need support at each stop.
