Be a HERO to hospice patients in the Gilbert area! We are in need of an office volunteer to answer phones, make care calls (or Tuck-in calls) to patients; as well as to help with organizational and administrative tasks as needed.
We adhere to strict PPE and cleanliness standards in the wake of COVID-19 to ensure the safety of our patients, employees, and volunteers.
Consider what a help you can be to our end-of-life patients and to the employees that are busy caring for them.
Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to meeting you!

Hospice Care provides comfort, dignity, quality of life and time to those facing a life-limiting illness, such as heart disease, Chronic Kidney Disease, COPD, HIV/AIDS, cancer, dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease. In addition to providing compassionate medical care and pain management, hospice care offers emotional and spiritual support to patients and their loved ones. Hospice care is provided wherever a patient resides, and it is delivered by the hospice care team- specially trained physicians, nurses, certified nursing assistants, social workers, chaplains and volunteers, who work together to meet the unique needs of each patient and family.
Description
The word "Hospice" means, "a place of shelter for travelers on a difficult journey."
Hospice care is a team-oriented approach to expert medical care and pain management of the patient, and emotional and spiritual support for the patient's family and friends. The patient's wishes are always considered and respected. Hospice philosophy is based on the belief that patients have the right to die with dignity and without pain, while enjoying the highest quality of life possible. The focus is not on curative measures, but rather relief of symptoms. the patient and family are encouraged to participate in planning and performing the care, to the extent that they wish to do so. The Hospice team is there to care, instruct, educate and support the family.
