Our primary need for volunteers is to teach our students who have below 6th grade reading or math skills, or our students who need to learn English as a Second Language. We also have a basic computer skills program. We match the volunteers with these students and match them according to preference and availability. Volunteers can also lead a class. We also offer other subjects as requested by our students.
The volunteers need to have a high school diploma or HSE and can be any age. They do not need to be experienced in teaching, although that is a plus. We will ask volunteers to provide a clear background check.
