Volunteer Tutors Needed

Joplin NALA Read

  • 4 people are interested

Our primary need for volunteers is to teach our students who have below 6th grade reading or math skills, or our students who need to learn English as a Second Language. We also have a basic computer skills program. We match the volunteers with these students and match them according to preference and availability. We also offer other subjects as requested by our students.

The volunteers need to have a high school diploma or HSE and can be any age. They do not need to be experienced in teaching, although that is a plus. We will ask volunteers to provide a clear background check.
