Public Relations Coordinator

Operation Meraki is looking for a Public Relations Coordinator to help get the word out about all of the great work that we are doing. If you would like to be considered, please complete the below form

The responsibilities are as follows:

  • Lead all communication between the organization and news/media outlets
  • Foster and develop relationships with reporters/journalists/figureheads in order to remain top of mind
  • Aid in developing press releases and official communications for Operation Meraki
  • Build out a PR team, if necessary
Committee Responsibilities:
  • Communicate via Teams with all Operation Meraki board and committee members, as an open forum and method of organization
  • Participate in quarterly Leadership team meetings. This is typically a 1 hour commitment 4 times a year outside of normal business hours
  • Arrive at monthly events early and stay late to assist with set up and clean up of events
  • Attend a minimum of 10 monthly events a year
Qualities of an Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience in public relations or related field (marketing, journalism, etc.)
  • Demonstrated commitment to learning and leading with a continuous examination of justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Has a passion for volunteering and relentless belief that a community of volunteers can contribute to a more just and equitable Ohio
