ORGANIZATION: Alzheimer's Association

Alzheimer's Association released a new program called Managing Money: A Caregiver's Guide to Finances that will help people learn about the costs of caregiving and the benefits of early planning and teach attendees how to avoid financial abuse and fraud, start a conversation about finances, assess financial and legal needs and find support. It was partially funded by a 3-year cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services-Administration for Community Living.

We provide the program, you provide the expertise and experience. Ideally this person would deliver the program 4-8 times a year in Pitt and/or surrounding counties, either virtually or in-person.

This is a very important service to these families and not a huge time commitment. Onboarding and training takes about 4 hours and program delivery is about 2-3 hours with potential travel time.
